Accessing components of the BMC CMDB

This section lists the methods to access the various modules in Mid Tier that you may need when working with BMC CMDB.

To access the Atrium Core Console

Some of the components of BMC CMDB are available in the flash-based user interface that you can access using the following steps:

  1. In a browser, enter the URL designated by an administrator. For example:
    http://<midTierServer>:<port>/arsys
    <midTierServer> is the name of the web server where the BMC Remedy Mid Tier is installed*.*
    <port> is the port number of the web server where the BMC Remedy Mid Tier is installed, which is required only if the web server is not using the default port (80 if using Microsoft IIS or 8080 if using Apache Tomcat).
  1. In the login page, specify the following details:
    • In the User Name field, type your user name.
    • In the Password field, type your password.
    • In the Authentication field, type the authentication string (if one was provided by an administrator)
  2. Click Login.
  3. In the AR System Home page, select Atrium Core > Atrium Core Console.
    If you access multiple servers from the AR System Home page, you would select Atrium Core > Atrium Core Console.

To access the Atrium Integrator Spoon

  1. Log in to the computer on which Atrium Integrator Spoon is installed.
  2. To open Atrium Integrator Spoon, open the Spoon.bat file at the following location:
    <installationDirectory>\diserver\data-integration\

To open the Service Catalog

    1. Log in to BMC Remedy Mid Tier with your credentials.
    2. In the AR System Home page, select Atrium Core > Atrium Core Console.
    3. Click Application Launcher > Applications > Service Catalog.

To access the Atrium Integrator console

  1. Log in to the new CMDB interface.
  2. Go to Jobs > Manage Atrium Integrator.

    The Data Imports page of Atrium Integrator opens.

To access the Class Manager

  1. Log in to the new CMDB interface.
  2. Go to Class Management > Classes.
    The class manager opens.
