Troubleshooting the VMware LCM adapter

This section provides troubleshooting information specific to the TrueSight Orchestration Application Adapter for VMware Lifecycle Manager.


Message: Unable to execute any adapter request for VMware Lifecycle Manager

User Response: Perform the following steps:

  1. Ensure that you can log on to the VMware Lifecycle Manager server without any exceptions being generated.
  2. If the VMware Lifecycle Manager server generates exceptions, restart the VMware Orchestrator Server service.

Message: Cannot find dunesUri for the displayName- Req

User Response: Perform the following steps:

  1. Verify that you can see that the request, Req, on the VMware Lifecycle Manager User Interface.
  2. If the request, Req, exists, navigate to VMwareInstall_HOME\VMware\Orchestrator\app-server\server\vmo\conf\plugins\lcm.xml.
  3. Add the following line in the lcm.xml file.
    <entry key="ch.dunes.database.fetch-limit">100000</entry>

    Note

    In this example, the fetch limit is set to 100000. You can set the fetch limit according to your requirements.

  4. Restart the VMware Lifecycle Manager server.

Message: Empty monitor adapter events generated

Explanation: Ensure that com.vmware.report.package for VMware Lifecycle Manager is imported.
