Uploading content to the repository
If you have repositories separated physically or by a firewall, you can upload adapters and modules that you downloaded from another repository and saved to physical media. You can also upload custom adapters and modules.
Note
Adapters or modules that are not available out-of-box in any version of the content installer, and are created by users for customized usage are known as custom content.
When you upload custom adapters or modules, you can name the .aroar or .roar files according to your organization's policy. If you have downloaded content from the repository, and after making changes, want to upload it again into the repository, ensure that you specify the file names using the following format.
File extension | Content type | Recommended format | Example |
---|---|---|---|
.aroar | Adapters | adapterName_adapterVersion.aroar | ro-adapter-remedy-actor_20.19.01.00.aroar |
.roar | Modules | moduleName_moduleVersion.roar | AutoPilot-OA-Change_Management.20.19.01.00.roar |
While uploading content, the repository assigns a current date and time stamp to the module or adapter. The new content is seen as a new revision in the repository.
To upload content to the repository
- Log on to the Repository Manager.
- On the Content tab, click .
From the file selection dialog box, select a .roar (for module) or .aroar (for adapter) file to upload and click Open.
Note
You can only upload one adapter or module at a time.
The adapter or module is uploaded successfully. You can view the adapter or module in the Content tab, under the name of the respective content.
