Mapping for the HP Network Node Manager formats

The topics in this section describe the HP Network Node Manager import formats:

HP Network Node Manager 7.x Data Warehouse

The import task maps the HP Network Node Manager 7.x Data Warehouse data to the device record as follows:

Device field	HP NNM Data Warehouse Table field	Comments
Name	Nnm_nodes.ip_hostname	Must be a unique name. Up to 40 characters in length.
Hostname/IP Address	Nnm_nodes.snmpaddr	Required for new devices. If snmpaddr is blank, uses ip_hostname field.
Device Type	Nnm_nodes.snmp_sysobjid	Maps the OID to the device type by using the DeviceType.snmpOids file.
Category	Nnm_nodes.snmp_sysobjid	Used to determine the category of the device.

Inventory	nnm_nodes.snmp_sysdescr, nnm_nodes.syslocation, nnm_nodes.syscontact, nnm_nodes.ipForwarding, nnm_nodes.ipx_address, nnm_nodes.ipxServerName, nnm_nodes.sysName nnm_interfaces.snmp_ifname, nnm_interfaces.ip_address, nnm_interfaces.ip_subnet_mask, nnm_interfaces.ifnumber, nnm_interfaces.seg_type, nnm_interfaces.snmp_iftype, nnm_interfaces.snmp_ifphysaddr, nnm_interfaces.snmp_ifdesc, nnm_interfaces.portclass, nnm_interfaces.ipx_address, nnm_interfaces.snmp__ifalias, nnm_networks.ip_network_name, nnm_segments.segment_name.	The inventory text is displayed in the Device Details tab.

The import task maps the HP Network Node Manager 8.x or 9.x data to the device record as follows:

Device field	HP NNM Database Table field	Comments
Name	nms_node.name	Must be a unique name. Up to 100 characters in length.
Hostname/IP Address	nms_node.long_name	Required for new devices.
Device Type	nms_node.system_obj_id	Maps the OID to the device type using the DeviceType.snmpOids file.
Category	nms_node.system_obj_id:	The system_obj_id is used to map the Device Type, where each associated OID is mapped to a category.
