Integrating

TrueSight Network Automation provides built-in integration with Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) registries. You can enable the integration with a UDDI registry during installation of the TrueSight Network Automation application server. See Installing the application server on Windows and Installing the application server on Linux for more information.

The following table provides links to additional products and solutions that integrate with TrueSight Network Automation:

Integration withBenefit
BMC Discovery

Integrating BMC Discovery with TrueSight Network Automation enables automatic discovery of physical and virtual IT assets and applications, and the relationships between them.

BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management

Integrating BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management with TrueSight Network Automation allows the latter to handle all container management, firewall and load balance management, and network resource management, including IP address pooling.

BMC Continuous Compliance for Network Automation solution

Integrating TrueSight Network Automation, BMC Remedy ITSM applications, and BMC CMDB enables an automated coordination of configuration management processes with other Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.

TrueSight Vulnerability Management and BMC Threat Director

TrueSight Network Automation integrates with the following versions of TrueSight Vulnerability Management and BMC Threat Director:

TrueSight Network AutomationTrueSight Vulnerability ManagementBMC Threat Director
8.9.04.0013.1None
8.9.043.02.2.02

Integrating TrueSight Network Automation with TrueSight Vulnerability Management and BMC Threat Director allows you to analyze and remediate network vulnerabilities. Using TrueSight Vulnerability Management and Threat Director you can:

  • Import scan files that survey a computing environment, including its network infrastructure
  • Map network devices detected in scans to devices managed in TrueSight Network Automation
  • Map vulnerabilities in network infrastructure to rules for which corrective actions and grammars have been defined in TrueSight Network Automation
  • Remediate network vulnerabilities by modifying network rules
  • View results of remediation actions for network infrastructure

For more information about the integration, see the TrueSight Vulnerability Management and Threat Director documentation.

BMC Decision Support - Network Automation

Integrating BMC Decision Support – Network Automation with TrueSight Network Automation provides expanded reporting capabilities.

TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse

TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse contains an in-built, Java-based ETL engine, which extracts data from TrueSight Network Automation, transforms it, and loads into the data warehouse. TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse also contains the reporting content that can be used by a reporting tool (for example, Yellowfin, Tableau, and Crystal Reports) to create reports.

Third-party management systems

Integrating TrueSight Network Automation with third-party network management systems provides the following benefits:

  • Cisco Data Center Services Node: Automated discovery and initial configuration of each Cisco Firewall Service module and Cisco Application Control Engine (ACE) module in a Cisco Data Center Services Node.
  • Entuity Network Analytics: Loading the TrueSight Network Automation management information base (MIB) into Entuity Network Analytics for TrueSight Network Automation SNMP trap viewing.
  • HP Network Node Manager: Loading TrueSight Network Automation MIBs into HP NNM for TrueSight Network Automation Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) trap viewing
