Installing an SSH and SCP server on Linux
Secure Copy (SCP) can be used to transfer configuration files and OS images to or from TrueSight Network Automation. SCP is based on the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol. See the Device Adapter Capabilities report attached on the Supported devices page for a list of vendors that support SCP file transfers.
For SSH, ensure sshd
is already running. It can be administered by using the # chkconfig sshd on
command.
To use the SCP transfer mode, TrueSight Network Automation requires a local user account that has shell access (shell set to /bin/bash or other working shell), and has read/write access to the directory specified as the SCP transfer directory in the device agent configuration.
