Starting from version 8.9.03, BMC Network Automation is renamed to TrueSight Network Automation. This space contains information about TrueSight Network Automation 8.9.03 and the later service packs for 8.9. For earlier releases, see BMC Network Automation 8.9.

About IP Address Management

TrueSight Network Automation supports the following IP Address Management (IPAM) technologies:

  • An integrated solution that is packaged and installed with the product
  • Integration with third-party solutions

The integrated IPAM solution is administered in the Admin tab of the TrueSight Network Automation UI. For more information, see Managing the integrated IP Address Management system.

To use a third-party IPAM solution, you must use TrueSight Orchestration as a middle-tier between TrueSight Network Automation and the third-party system. You need to configure this interface in BMC Atrium Orchestrator.

Currently, TrueSight Network Automation provides adapters for VitalQIP and Infoblox out-of-the-box.

For more information, see Enabling IP address management in the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management online technical documentation.
