XML files for IBM Tivoli Monitoring agents

This section describes the XML files that you can use, edit, or create to import any IBM Tivoli Monitoring agents, including custom agents.

The Infrastructure Management adapter for IBM Tivoli Monitoring uses an XML file to import and integrate the groups and attributes for an IBM Tivoli Monitoring agent. The XML file contains the specifications for IBM Tivoli Monitoring agents, including the groups and attributes (also called parameters) to be monitored in Infrastructure Management. The adapter loads the XML files on the Integration Service and synchronizes the monitor information with Infrastructure Management for display in the Operations Console.

The current installation of Infrastructure Management includes XML files for common agents, and you can edit or create XML files to correspond to your environment.
