11.0.00.002: Fix Pack 2

Fix Packs do not contain all of the files that are required for a complete product installation. Fix Packs are cumulative and contain all updates released prior to the Fix Pack.

Before you install the Fix Pack, you must have previously installed the base version of the product.

Enhancements

TrueSight Operations Management version 11.0 Fix Pack 2 provides the following enhancements and changes:

Updated operating system support

TrueSight App Visibility Manager server now supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 7.4 (64-bit).

Integration with BMC Atrium Orchestrator

Integration with BMC Atrium Orchestrator versions 7.9.01 and 8.0 are now supported for the following workflows:

  • Agent Restart
  • ESX Host Down
  • Host Down

Support for BMC Remedyforce sandbox environment

TrueSight Infrastructure Management now supports a sandbox environment for BMC Remedyforce.

Support for BMC Remedy Single Sign-On

The following versions of Remedy Single Sign-On are now supported on TrueSight Operations Management:

  • BMC Remedy Single Sign-On version 18.02
  • BMC Remedy Single Sign-On version 9.1.04, if you apply Remedy SSO 9.1.04 Cumulative hot-fix. Contact BMC Customer Support to obtain the hot-fix.

Logging

The truesight.log file now provides information about the monitor instance and parameter for a missing baseline calculation.

Security

TrueSight Operations Management is no longer vulnerable to:

  • Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)
  • Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
  • JNLP file injections
  • Command injections

Installing the Fix Pack

Warning

Before applying this fix pack, make sure that you have an OS backup or a VM snapshot of all affected systems. If this is not possible, make sure that you back up the individual TrueSight Operations Management components.


Installing the Fix Pack 2 for TrueSight Operations Management 11.0 consists of the following steps:

  1. Prepare for the installation of the Fix Pack.
  2. Install Fix Pack 2 (11.0.00.002) for TrueSight Presentation Server 11.0.00.
  3. Install Fix Pack 2 (11.0.00.002) for TrueSight Infrastructure Management 11.0.00.
  4. Install Fix Pack 2 (11.0.00.002) for TrueSight App Visibility Manager server 11.0.00.

To apply Fix Pack 2, install all the above components in the recommended sequence.
