Understanding a service model
A BMC service model is made up of the following components:
- Data classes that describe the various types of physical and logical IT resources that make up an enterprise's business
- Corresponding data classes in the Infrastructure Management knowledge base of cells
- Event classes associated with specific resources
- Configuration items (CIs) that represent the unique physical and the logical CIs that deliver business services
- Impact relationships
- Management data instances
