Web Transaction monitor issues
The following issues can occur when you are using the Web Transaction monitor.
- Playback option fails
- Response Code displays an error
- URLs appear during monitor playback when the pop-up option is disabled
- Web Transaction browser playback fails for download transactions
- Web Transaction browser playback option fails to post e-mails
Playback option fails
When unsupported characters are present on a page, the playback option fails and displays 2 positive string(s) not found
.
The playback option cannot play back a transaction, that is recorded on a page with unsupported characters.
Therefore, avoid recording a transition on a page with unsupported characters.
Response Code displays an error
The response code does not display correctly or displays an error. It displays -1-OK
Response code displays -1-OK
The default Socket Timeout for the Web Transaction monitor is set to four minutes, but gathering the response code can take longer than four minutes.
To resolve this issue, increase the default socket timeout value.
URLs appear during monitor playback when the pop-up option is disabled
URLs appear during monitor playback even when the pop-ups option is disabled.
URLs can pop up during monitor playback, even when the Allow Pop-ups option is not selected while recording a transaction.
No workaround is available.
Web Transaction browser playback fails for download transactions
Browser playback fails during download transaction.
The Web Transaction browser playback fails during a download transaction. This is a limitation, inherited from the Internet Explorer VB component.
No workaround is available.
However, you can successfully complete playback through the command-line interface.

The browser playback option fails to post email messages.
The Web Transaction browser playback option fails to post email messages through an HTML form by text or plain encryption.
