Launching the Infrastructure Management Administrator Console on Microsoft Windows
Follow these steps to launch the Infrastructure Management Administrator Console on Microsoft Windows.
To launch the administrator console on Windows computers
- Access the Infrastructure Management Administrator Console menu as appropriate for your environment:
- If the Administrator Console is installed on a computer where BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server is installed, select Start > Programs > BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server > Administrator Console.
- If the administrator console is installed on a computer remote from the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server, select Start > Programs > Infrastructure Management Admin v.r.mm .
v.r.mm is the version number of the administrator console.
- In the Administrator Console Logon screen, specify the following information:
- Name or IP Address of the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server that you want to connect to.
- User name with access rights to the TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server. The default is admin.
- Password corresponding to the user name. The default is admin12345.
To change the password from the default, see Changing your administrator console password. - The type of connection to use to connect to the TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server is direct.

Click OK.
The Administrator Console is displayed as shown in the following figure.
Multiple Administrator Consoles on Windows computers
You can have multiple Administrator Consoles open on the same system. The Infrastructure Management Administrator Console must be the same version as the TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server.
Any new installation of the Administrator Console is a fresh installation. If an earlier version of the Administrator Console already exists on a system and you try to install the Administrator Console again, the following message is displayed:
"ProactiveNet Admin is already installed in the system. This installation is a fresh installation and does not upgrade earlier Admin
."
