Blackout periods
A blackout policy specifies a criteria and period of time during which notifications about incoming events are ignored.
Although the events originating from the devices are blacked out, the blackout events are logged, and you can still collect data from the devices.
You can view the blackout events when you open the collector that is specific to the events.

BMC TM ART blackout period behavior
If a BMC TM ART project moves into a black-out period, then the respective monitor-type instance in Infrastructure Management is marked for deletion. During a black-out period, BMC TM ART does not return values of the project and its transactions.
Blackout periods in multiple Infrastructure Management Server deployment
When a child Infrastructure Management Server enters a blackout period, events from the child Infrastructure Management Server are not propagated to the central Infrastructure Management Server. Therefore, Blackout events that appear in the child Infrastructure Management Server do not appear in the central Infrastructure Management Server.
