Maps page in the HP-UX nPar/vPar view
The Maps page in the HP-UX nPar/vPar view provides a graphical representation of the virtual capacity. The page shows metrics for Virtual hosts that will saturate either their CPU or memory within the next 30 days. All values are calculated over the last full month, and the current month.
The parent entity in the Maps page in the HP-UX nPar/vPar view represents the Virtual Host - nPar/vPar and the child entity represents the HP nPartition or HP vPartition.
To access the page, in the TrueSight console navigation pane, select Capacity > Views > Virtualization > HP-UX > nPar/vPar, click the Maps tab.
This representation is implemented by using a data visualization tool called Tree Maps. The Tree Map view displays system entities in a hierarchical order by using a series of clustered rectangles, which together represent a whole system.
You can easily and quickly view the details of an entity and drill down to view the child entity.
For example, in the Maps page, click the entity (specific cell in the map).
A Details window opens that lists the Name, Type, Utilization (%) and Size of the entity, along with Related Information links.
In the Details window, click Drill Down.
The child entity is displayed. The bread crumbs on top of the map indicate the entity you are currently viewing.
For more information about using the view, see Reading a tree map view.
