Future Saturations page in the KVM Overview view
The Future Saturations page in the KVM view displays all partitions that are projected to have CPU, memory, or file system saturation within the next 30 days. The 30 day default can be changed by modifying the 'Future Saturation – Show partitions whose forecasted days to saturation are under or equal to threshold' parameter. All values are calculated over the last full month and the current month.
The Future Saturations tab allows you to toggle between viewing future saturation details for:
- Virtual Machines (default)
- Hosts

The KVM Partition Future Saturations table lists future saturation information for all KVM partitions in the selected domain. Each row corresponds to a KVM partition and shows the following information:
KVM Partition Future Saturations table: Description of columns
Field | Description | Statistical Type |
---|---|---|
KVM | Name of the KVM host. | Last value |
CPU Used Daily Trend [%] | Daily growth rate of CPU utilization of the host. | Trend |
Memory Utilization [%] | Memory used by the host. | 95th Percentile |
Memory Used Daily Trend [%] | Daily growth rate of memory utilization of the host. | Trend |
Bottleneck Resource | The resource predicted to cause performance bottlenecks. Indicates one of the two resources – CPU or MEMORY – as the bottleneck resource. | NA |
Days to Saturation | The projected amount of time before one of the resources (CPU or MEMORY) runs out of available capacity. | NA |
CPU Utilization [%] | Percentage of CPU utilization by the KVM host. | 95th Percentile |
CPU Days To Saturation | The projected amount of time before the CPU runs out of available capacity. | NA |
Memory Days To Saturation | The projected amount of time before the host runs out of available memory. | NA |

Viewing future saturation details for KVM hosts
The Host Future Saturations table lists future saturation information for all KVM hosts in the selected domain. Each row corresponds to a KVM host and shows the following information:
KVM Host Future Saturations table: Description of columns

Bottleneck Resource | The resource predicted to cause performance bottlenecks. Indicates one of the two resources – CPU or MEMORY – as the bottleneck resource. | NA |
CPU Util [%] | Percentage of CPU used by the host. | 95th Percentile |
CPU Trend [%] | Daily growth rate of CPU utilization of the host. | Trend |
Memory Util [%] | Memory used by the host. | 95th Percentile |
Real Memory Util [%] | 95th percentile value of Memory utilization, excludes file system cache. | 95th Percentile |
Memory Used Daily Trend [%] | Daily growth rate of memory utilization of the host. | Trend |

Using data filter and other controls in tables
You can export and filter the information that is displayed in tables to suit your need. For instance, you can show or hide columns, filter tables on particular domains, and so on.
For more information, see Exporting and filtering tables.
