Configuring the default formats in the TrueSight Capacity Optimization console

The UI Defaults tab enables you to configure TrueSight Capacity Optimization default formats, such as the date format or number format. You can access this tab by navigating to Administration > System > Global configuration > UI Defaults.

Note

You can override the setting by specifying a proper preference for the date format in the user profile page.

Option

Description

UI Date Format

Define the date format to use in every page of TrueSight Capacity Optimization platform wherever date appears.

Number Format

Define a format for rendering numbers in every TrueSight Capacity Optimization page that contains them or when exporting data table values of a chart to an XLS file.

Default Analysis Name

Specify a default name to propose in the title of an analysis basing on macros, when creating it through the wizard or editing it through the editor of the analysis.

CSV Column Separator

Define the delimiter character used to separate data columns within a CSV file.

CSV Decimal Separator

Define the decimal separator used to format numbers within a CSV file.

Charts Layout
Title colorSpecify or select a color for the chart titles.
Axis colorSpecify or select a color for the axes used in the charts.
Legend colorSpecify or select a color for the chart legend.
Charts Date Format

Hourly Ticks format

In presence of hourly resolution chart, a tick appears in the time axis of the chart in correspondence of a time value. The tick label must be rendered with the format specified.

Daily Ticks format

In presence of hourly resolution chart, a tick appears in the time axis of the chart in correspondence of a day value. The tick label must be rendered with the format specified.

Monthly Ticks format

In presence of hourly resolution chart, a tick appears in the time axis of the chart in correspondence of a month value. The tick label must be rendered with the format specified.

Yearly Ticks format

In presence of hourly resolution chart, a tick appears in the time axis of the chart in correspondence of a year value. The tick label must be rendered with the format specified.

Search
Search options

Specify the scope of search. You can search for entities and works only, or you can search for entities, works, and series.

When you select the Search for entities, works, and series option and rebuild the index, the activity consumes about 20 times of additional disk space. Use this option only when necessary.
