Availability Zones page in the OpenStack view
Availability Zones are defined to aid fault tolerance. This enables you to arrange OpenStack compute hosts into logical groups and provides a form of physical isolation and redundancy from other availability zones, such as by using a separate power supply or network equipment.
The Availability Zones page in the OpenStack view displays information for all availability zones for the selected cloud.
You can access this page in the TrueSight console using one of the following ways:
- Select Capacity > Views > Cloud > OpenStack and click the Availability Zones tab
- In the OpenStack > Cloud page, navigate to the Related Information panel and click the Availability Zones link.

Viewing the OpenStack Availability Zones table
The Availability Zones table lists the following information for each availability zone in the selected cloud. By default, some columns are hidden. You can show or hide columns using the action menuSorting a table in the TrueSight console.that is located next to the Availability Zones table title. For more information, see

Name of the availability zone. Clicking on one of the zones in this column of the summary view takes you to the availability zone details view.

Ratio of vCPUs allocated to the virtual machines to total physical CPUs available in the hypervisors in the Availability Zone.

Ratio of memory allocated to the VMs to the total physical memory available in the hypervisors in the Availability Zone.

|Spare VM Basis|
Specifies the basis for calculating the number of additional VMs that can be placed in the Zone: TYPICAL or CUSTOM.

|Days to Saturation||The projected amount of time before one of the resources (CPU, MEMORY, STORAGE) in the Zone runs out of available capacity. A number of days to saturation for the least available resource is reported here.|

|Bottleneck Resource||Name of the resource that has either saturated or will saturate in the next 30 days. Bottleneck resource can be CPU, MEMORY or STORAGE. Viewing detailed information about an availability zone
After you click on the zone in the Availability Zone column, the details for that zone are displayed in the Availability Zone Details page:

|General details section|
General details, such as availability zone name, type, and a number of elements within it are displayed.
|Related Information panel|
Clicking the links in the Related Information panel displays the other information related to the selected availability zone.
|Tags panel||Displays tags, if any, that are associated with the availability zone. You can add tags to the availability zone using the action menu that is located next to Tags. For more information, see Working with tag filters.|
The Summary tab, that is displayed by default, displays details for the selected availability zone in a horizontal summary table, as well as charts.
Analysis charts: Core metrics for the selected entity are displayed as analysis charts, depending on available data. A link at the bottom of each chart allows you to view the data for a specific resource type. You can download, save an offline copy, annotate, and print the charts. For more information, see Managing charts.
|Configuration Details tab||The Configuration Details tab displays the configuration matrix for the selected availability zone.|

Using data filters and other controls in tables
You can sort and filter the information that is displayed in tables to suit your need. For instance, you can show or hide columns, export the data to Excel, select a different cloud and region, clear the selected cloud and region, and so on.
