Transaction pathway deployment

This topic provides step-by-step instructions for deploying the generated model instances for monitoring. On the BTM tab tool bar is an icon for deploying. A user must exist in the access list for deployment as defined in profile configuration by a user with the Manage Profile rights.

If this is a manual deployment and you wish to use the deploy dialog box to get the files for deployment select the Manual Deployment check box and use the button to specify the location of the deployment jar file. As you activate and deactivate deployments, files are added to that directory. Afterwards you should transfer the deployment jar files to the appropriate hosts in the directory you specified to BTMconfig on installation.

To activate one or more deployments

  1. Click Deploy Generated Model Instances in the BTM tool bar to open the Deploy dialog box.
  2. To activate a single deployment, left-click on the required generated model instance in the table and then right-click to bring up the menu and select Activate. To activate multiple deployments, Control+left-click on the required generated model instances and then right-click to bring up the menu and select Activate. Multiple deployment activations are not supported for manual deployment from the Monitor Console. Use the btmdeploy command line tool instead.
  3. Enter a time when the deployment or deployments should activate.
  4. If this is a manual deployment:
    • If deploying from the dialog box, transfer the deployment jar files from the manual directory specified to the appropriate hosts in the directory you specified to BTMconfig on installation.
