Registering or unregistering the TIBCO Rendezvous cache on Windows or UNIX platforms
- Check whether the TMTM Extensible Agent is running or not. For Windows and UNIX, enter qpea --status. If it is not running, start it by entering qpea --start.
- Change to the directory where you extracted the TIBCO Rendezvous monitoring extension files qptibrv.bat (Windows) or qptibrv.sh (UNIX).
- To register, enter the following commands. See parameter descriptions in Controlling the TIBCO Rendezvous monitoring extension on Windows or UNIX platforms. When defining a Rendezvous cache to monitor, provide the URL and port number. If the TIBCO Rendezvous cache is secure, you must also provide a user name and password.
For Windows, enter:
qptibrv --register -rvd:service:network:daemon -rvcache:URL:port:user:password
For UNIX, enter:
./qptibrv.sh --register -rvd:service:network:daemon -rvcache:URL:port:user:password - You cannot unregister individual Rendezvous caches. Unregister the daemon and then re-register it with the new settings.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
