Policy groups

Policy groups are applicable to both agent policies and object policies.

Agent policy groups

Agent policy groups are a logical collection of agent policies and actions that apply to the agent policies, object policies, and/or object policy groups.
Possible uses for an agent policy group include:

  • Applying the same actions to several agent policies, without having to associate the actions with each agent policy individually.
  • Grouping agent policies together for easier administration and identification.

Object policy groups

Object policy groups are a logical collection of object policies and other object policy groups. Note that circular references of object policy groups are not permitted and generate a validation error.
Possible uses for an object policy group include:

  • Group object policies together to make administration and association at the agent level easier.
  • Group object policy groups together to make administration and association at the agent level easier.
