Monitoring WebSphere MQ, DB2, and operating system features on z/OS

  • Storage Manager data: The Storage Manager manages storage for WebSphere MQ for z/OS which includes storage pool allocation, expansion, and de-allocation. This data is identical to what is provided in the Storage Manager section of the SMF 115 subtype 1 record.
  • Log Manager data: The Log Manager manages the writing of log records, which are essential for maintaining the integrity of the system if there is a back out request, or for recovery in the case of a system or media failure.
