The following table lists fields and controls available in the message format workspace.

Field | Name of fields in the message format. The name must be unique. No character limit. | x |
Field Type | Defines a generic technology (binary, numeric, regular expression) or a specific technology (XML, SWIFT) of the message format. See Message format field types. Note that some field types are only available as subfields. See also Repeating Fields and Indices. | x |
Name | Name of the message format. The name must be unique. No character limit. The name you enter is reflected in the list of message formats in the message format panel. | x |
