Logging for Java BTM extensions

Java BTM extensions gather monitoring information as either standalone extensions that connect to the monitored technology, or as embedded extensions that run within the context of the monitored technology. That determines how logging is configured and retrieved for each Java BTM extension. The following sections detail the different considerations for those different runtime environments.
