Attaching objects to rule templates

You can use the following two methods to attach an object to a rule template.

By drag and drop

1. Enter edit mode.
2. Drag the template and drop it on the object in the physical tree.
3. Repeat to attach the template to additional objects.

By menu option

1. Enter edit mode.
2. Right-click the template in the templates tree and select Associate Object.
3. Expand the physical tree and select the objects you want to attach to the template. Use Ctrl+click or Shift+click to select multiple objects.
4. Click Apply. If Apply is grayed out, the selected object is not of the same type for which the rule was created. Select an object of the compatible type.
