Backsync for MicroFocus OBM
Backsync is the process that is part of the Closed Loop Incident Process ("CLIP"), which enables closing out or annotating events in a source system after it is closed in a destination.
Step 1: Create a new connected server.
Within OBM, select "Administration=>Setup and Maintenance=>Connected Servers".
Select the following options:
Display Label: StreamWeaver
FQDN: Name of the target StreamWeaver system
CI type: Management System
Delivery Options: Serial Per Source
Integration Type - Call external event web service
URL path: /streamweaver/v3/mediators/backsync
User name: swp
Password: swp1234
Port: 7456
Secure HTTP: Uncheck
Within OBM, select "Administration=>Event Processing=>Event Forwarding".
Create a new Event Forwarding Rule to forward "Resolved/Closed" events.
This will require setting up a new event filter:
Complete the form by adding the target server created earlier
Step 3: Import OBM Content Packs

Step 4: Assign and Deploy Policies
Open Administration => Management Templates & Aspects
Select the StreamWeaver Folder and then "Assign and Deploy Item" for the policies
Assign to the agent you will (or have) configured as a destination for the MF OBM Destination Mediator
Open "Administration => Infrastructure Settings", then select the "Operations Management" Application
Scroll to the section "Event Synchronization Settings", and change the value of "Forward Closed Events to Server" to true
Step 6: Complete the configuration by setting up the MF OBM Destination Mediator
Step 7: Ensure Event Policy values are configured correctly
Custom Attribute field swp_origin_id is set to <$DATA:/Event/SWP-Origin>
Source Event ID field is set to <$DATA:/Event/EventID>
