Starting version 8.9.03, BMC Server Automation is renamed to TrueSight Server Automation. This space contains information about BMC Server Automation 8.9.02 and previous versions. For TrueSight Server Automation 8.9.03 and later releases, see TrueSight Server Automation 8.9.

WinPE 2.0 and above image type

The Add/Edit Image dialog box lets you define or edit the configuration settings of a WinPE 2.0 or later (including the recent WinPE 5.x) image type.

Image file

The name of the image file. Assuming you used the standard BMC Server Automation image creation wizard or script, the image file is named one of the following:

  • WindowsPEImage
  • WindowsPE64Image

Description

(Optional) Description of the boot image file.

Image path

The tftproot subdirectory that contains this image file.

For example:

  • If this image file resides in the TFTP directory C:\tftproot\boot_2_0, you would set the Image path field to boot_2_0.
  • If it resides in C:\tftproot\boot_5_1, the image path would be boot_5_1.

64 bit image

Check this field if this image is to be used to provision 64 bit machines. Leave it unchecked otherwise.

Set as default image

The default image is the image that the system uses for auto-discovery. For example, when an unknown device PXE boots on your network, the system sends this device the default image.
