Choosing simulate and stage options

Simulate and Stage Options let you determine if sufficient disk space exists on the target for staging, simulation, or both.

To choose simulate and stage options

  1. To test for disk space on the target, check Test for sufficient staging directory space... If you clear this option, no testing is done to determine if sufficient disk space exists on a target server.
  2. Select one of the following:
    • Stage — A check is made to determine if there is sufficient disk space for the staging phase of the Deploy Job. By default Deploy Jobs are configured to test if sufficient disk space exists for the Stage phase of the job.
    • Simulate — A check is made to determine if sufficient disk space exists for the simulation phase of the Deploy Job.
    • Simulate and Stage — A check is made to determine if sufficient disk space exists for both the simulation and staging phases of the Deploy Job.
