Creating or modifying Distribute Configuration Objects Jobs

The Distribute Configuration Objects Job lets you distribute implementation files to servers for a new custom configuration object. You should run this job after you add a custom configuration object to the Configuration Object Dictionary if the implementation files for the object do not already exist on servers.

You cannot distribute a custom configuration object to a server where the version of the agent is incompatible.

To create a Distribute Configuration Objects Job

Do one of the following:
- Open the Jobs folder and navigate to a subfolder where you want to create a new Distribute Configuration Objects Job. Right-click the folder and select New> Administration Task> Distribute Configuration Objects from the pop-up menu.
- Open the Servers folder and navigate to the server to which you want to distribute a new custom configuration object. Right-click the server and select Administration Task> Distribute Configuration Objects from the pop-up menu. The New Distribute Configuration Objects Job wizard opens.
Provide information for the Distribute Configuration Objects Job, as described in the following sections:
Click Finish after completing the last step of the wizard.

To modify an existing Distribute Configuration Objects Job

To modify the definition of an existing Distribute Configuration Objects Job, open the Jobs folder and navigate to an existing job. Right-click the job and select Openfrom the pop-up menu. The content editor displays a series of tabs that correspond to panels in the New Distribute Configuration Objects Job wizard. Use the tabs to modify the job definition. The following topics describe the contents of the tabs:
