Manually classifying devices as provisioned

You can manually reclassify a device from the Imported folder to the Provisioned folder. A provisioned server boots locally from its operating system.

This procedure is useful if a Provision Job does not complete, but the operating system and the RSCD agent installed as expected. For example, a call back port error occurs. In this case, you might decide to manually move the device from the Imported to the Provisioned folder, rather than rerunning the entire job. You can then update the server properties in the Server folder (not the Device folder), to make the server appear as an enrolled and managed server in BMC Server Automation.

To manually classify a device as provisioned

1. In the Devices folder, open the Imported folder.
2. Select the device, right-click, and select Set as provisioned from the pop-up menu.
