Defining settings for HP-UX servers

In a system package, you define settings for the HP-UX server so the provisioning process can set them during the unattended installation of the operating system.

In addition to providing installation settings, a system package can also define a Batch Job that installs software and performs other configurations on the target server.

To define settings for HP-UX servers

1. In the Depot folder, navigate to the system package you want to define. Right-click the system package and select Open.
   A tab for the system package appears in the Content Editor view.
2. Define standard system package settings by clicking the tabs at the bottom of the system package's tab. Each tab represents a category of settings, as described in the following sections:
   • Basic configuration - HP-UX
   • Disk partition - HP-UX
   • Computer settings - HP-UX
   • Network settings - HP-UX
   • Ignite commands and scripts - HP-UX
   • Optional Ignite parameters - HP-UX
   • Software selection - HP-UX
   • Boot script - HP-UX
   • Post-install configuration - HP-UX
   • Preview - HP-UX
   • Local properties - HP-UX
3. When you finish defining settings for the system package, click the system package tab and select File > Save.
