Viewing compliance results by server

You can determine if components on servers satisfy compliance rules.

To view compliance results by server

  1. In the Jobs folder, select a Compliance Job, right-click, and select Show Results.
A new tab opens in the content editor. It shows the Compliance Job results.
  2. In the hierarchical tree on the left of the tab, expand a particular run of the Compliance Job, and click the Server View node.
Summary results are displayed for each server examined by the Compliance Job, with the number of rules in each compliance status (Compliant, Compliant with Exceptions, Non-compliant, Failed, and Indeterminate).
  3. Expand the tree under Server View and select a server or a component.
The servers examined by the Compliance Job are listed under the Server View node. The components are listed on the next level, followed by the rule groups and rules associated with the component.
The content editor provides summary information for the components on the server or the rule groups associated with the component.

    Note

The maximum number of servers that are displayed under the expanded Server View node is controlled by the Page Size setting in the Preferences dialog box, with a default value of 50. If more servers exist, you can page through the results, as described in Paging through job results.

  4. To determine whether the component satisfies various compliance rules, select a rule group.
The Compliance column in the right pane shows the compliance status for each rule within the rule group.
