Viewing compliance results by rule

Use this procedure to see which components satisfy the compliance rules for the component template.

To view compliance results by rule

  1. In the Jobs folder, right-click a Compliance Job, and select Show Results.
A new tab opens in the content editor. It shows the Compliance Job results.
  2. In the hierarchical tree on the left of the tab, expand a particular run of the Compliance Job, and click the Rules View node.
Summary results are displayed for the Compliance Job, with the number of rules in each compliance status (Compliant, Compliant with Exceptions, Non-compliant, Failed, and Indeterminate).
  3. Expand the tree under Rules View and select a component template or a rule group.
The content editor provides summary information for the rule groups defined in the component template or the rules included in the rule group.
  4. To determine which components satisfy a compliance rule, select a rule.
The components on which the rule was analyzed are listed under the rule. The Compliance column in the right pane shows the compliance status for each component.

    Note

The maximum number of components that are displayed under the expanded compliance rule is controlled by the Page Size setting in the Preferences dialog box, with a default value of 50. If more components exist, you can page through the results, as described in Paging through job results.
