Viewing audit results by object

Audit Job results can let you see which servers have a configuration that is inconsistent with server objects on the master server.

For example, you can select the Services server object and see which servers have Windows services configured inconsistently with the master server.

To view audit results by object

  1. In the Jobs folder, select an Audit Job, right-click, and select Show Results.
A new tab opens in content editor. It shows the Audit Job results.
  2. In the hierarchical tree on the left of the tab, expand a run of an Audit Job and click the Object View node.
The right panel shows summary results for the audit, as described in the table below.
Servers and server objects listed under the Server View node appear in a bold font if they are inconsistent.

    Column

    Description

    Name

Name of the Audit Job and the master server.

    Compliant

Total number of servers that are consistent with the master.

    Non-compliant

Total number of servers that are inconsistent with the master.

    Failed

Total number of objects for which the attempt to evaluate consistency failed on at least one target.

    Not Attempted

Total number of objects for which consistent evaluation was not attempted on at least one target.

    Changes

Total number of objects that have differing characteristics between the master and at least one target.

    Extra

Total number of objects that are not present on the master but are present on at least one target.

    Missing

Total number of objects that are present on the master but are missing on at least one target.

  3. To view object-by-object summaries, expand the tree under Object View and select a component.
If you are performing a server-object based audit, components are named according to the name of the Audit Job.
The right panel shows summary results for the component, as described in the following table.

    Column

    Description

    Name

Name of the component or Audit Job on which the audit is based.

    # of Consistent Targets

Total number of servers for which this object is consistent with the master.

    # of Inconsistent Targets

Total number of servers for which this object is inconsistent with the master.

    # of Failed Targets

Total number of servers for which the attempt to evaluate consistency for this object failed.

    # of Not Attempted Targets

Total number of servers for which no attempt was made to evaluate the consistency of this object.

  4. To see a server-by-server listing showing the consistency for a particular object, expand the tree under Object View and select a server object.
The right panel lists all the targets for the job and indicates whether they are consistent.
