Using silent mode to upgrade the Application Server (Linux and UNIX)

You can perform an unattended (silent) upgrade of the Application Server on a UNIX system. To use silent mode for an upgrade, you run the Application Server installation program for the version to which you want to upgrade.

Note

Prior to running the installer, ensure that you are not using a /tmp/nsh-install-defaults file for the upgrade.

To run the installer, enter the following command:
sh BBSA<version>-<platform> -silent
For example:
sh BBSA82-SOL10-SPARC.sh -silent
