Authorizations for the Configuration menu

The Configuration menu provides access to views and windows that configure the behavior of BMC Server Automation. The minimum authorizations needed to use the views and windows vary.

The following table describes the authorizations needed to use the capabilities of the Configuration menu:

Job Schedule view

Read-level authorization is necessary for each type of job you want to view.
Read-level authorization at the object level is necessary for each individual job.

No authorization is required to open the view.

Custom Commands view

No authorization is required to open the view, but authorizations are required to see and use custom commands.

Property Dictionary view

No authorizations required

Configuration Object Dictionary

ConfigFile.Read

No authorization is required to open the view.
To see user-defined configuration files, you need at least read-level permission at the object level.

Provisioning Manager Configurations

To see system package information, you need at least read-level permission at the object level.
