Onboarding

SecOps Response is a web-based service. End users do not have to install any software; they can access SecOps Response through supported browsers.

Before your organization can use SecOps Response, you must first register as a user. Then, an onboarding process is required. Onboarding establishes connections between SecOps Response, which runs in the cloud, and endpoint managers (BMC BladeLogic Server Automation, BMC Network Automation, or Microsoft Service Center Configuration Manager), which run locally on your premises. During onboarding you can also set up connections to optional products such as BMC Discovery. 

During onboarding, a connector utility must be downloaded to your premises to enable communication between SecOps Response and the other products you are using.

The following list describes the tasks that may be necessary to start using SecOps Response:

System requirements Check the requirements needed to use endpoint managers and browsers.
Registering

Sign up with BMC as a registered user of SecOps Response.

Logging on as a SecOps Response administrator Use this procedure to log on as a SecOps Response administrator, who can onboard and manage connections to endpoint managers and other optional products.
Onboarding connectors Use these procedure to establish connections to endpoint managers and other technologies associated with SecOps Response.
Deleting connectors Use these procedures to modify, delete, or temporarily suspend connectors that have already been defined for SecOps Response.
