Starting with version 5.0.03, BMC has replaced the BMC Release Lifecycle Management common installer with standalone installers for BMC Release Process Management (BRPM) and BMC Release Package Deployment (BRPD) applications. For more information about installing BRPM, see Installing. For more information about installing BRPD, see Installing.
The following table describes the supported upgrade paths for upgrading to BMC Release Lifecycle Management 5.0.03.
Current version | Operating system | Supported upgrade version | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
4.8.08 | Windows Linux | 5.0.03 |
|
5.0.00 | |||
5.0.01 | |||
5.0.02 |
Important
If you have used embedded database while installing BRPM and BRPD by using the common installer, starting 5.0.03, the embedded database for either of the products is dropped when you upgrade to BRPM and BRPD. BMC recommends that before upgrading you back up the database and after upgrading successfully, restore the backup. For restoring backup, see Configuring after upgrading.
For any additional preparatory tasks that you must perform before the upgrade, see Preparing for installation.
