Modifying or deleting a PATROL for Oracle Enterprise Database environment configuration

After you have configured a monitoring environment using the PATROL for Oracle Enterprise Database KM, you can modify an environment configuration, or several environments, or delete an environment.

To modify a single environment configuration

When a single environment is saved in a monitoring policy, you can modify its configuration as follows:

1. From the Infrastructure Policies page, select the Monitoring tab and click the action menu for the policy that you want to modify and click Edit.
2. For the monitoring solution that you want to modify, click the action menu and select Edit.
3. In the Edit Monitoring Configuration panel, click the action menu for the environment and select Edit.
   
4. Modify the configuration and click OK to save the changes and OK in the Edit Monitoring Configuration panel.
5. Click Save to save the monitoring policy changes.

The monitoring solution's environment is updated with the changes, and the KM's monitoring results reflect the updated environment settings.

To modify multiple environment configurations

When multiple environments are saved in a monitoring policy, you can modify the configuration for all of the policy's environments as follows:

1. From the Infrastructure Policies page, select the Monitoring tab and click the action menu for the policy that you want to modify and click Edit.
2. For the monitoring solution that you want to modify, click the action menu and select Edit.
3. In the Edit Monitoring Configuration panel, click the action menu for the environment you want to modify and select Edit.
   
4. Modify all of the environment configurations that require changes and click OK.
5. Click Save to save the monitoring policy changes.

All of the environments are updated with the changes, and the KM's monitoring results reflect the updated environment settings.

To delete a configuration environment

1. From the Infrastructure Policies page, select the Monitoring tab and click the action menu for the policy that you want to modify and click Edit.
2. For the monitoring solution that you want to modify, click the action menu and select Edit.
3. In the Edit Monitoring Configuration panel, click the action menu for the environment that you want to remove and select Delete.
4. Click OK in the Edit Monitoring Configuration panel, and click Save to save the monitoring policy changes.

The environment is removed from the monitoring solution.
