Configuring REV Manager Container
Monitoring profiles are profiles to which the monitor types you want to enable are associated. Each solution contains multiple monitoring profiles and help to reduce unnecessary monitoring. Each monitoring profile is associated with a group of monitor types. The monitor types that belong to a profile are pre-determined. You cannot add or remove monitor types from a profile.
You can configure REV Manager Container from the Configuring the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization monitor profile.
|RHEV Manager Monitoring Configuration|
By default, BMC PATROL for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization uses Java Runtime Environment (JRE) that is installed with the PATROL Agent. To use your own JRE that is installed in a different location, specify thepathfortheJava home directory.
For example, if your Java executable exists in the /usr/java/jdk1.8.0_45/jre/bin/java path, specify /usr/java/jdk1.8.0_45/jre as the value of this field.
|RHEV Manager Details|
Enter the name of the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager.
|User Name||Enter the name of the user required to access the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager.|
|Password||Enter the password corresponding to the username.|
|Domain||Enter the domain for the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager.|

Note: The path should be an absolute path to the location where the certificate resides on the PATROL Agent. For example, /home/patrol/ca.crt.
|Port||Enter the port number for the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager.|
This option helps you to change the PATROL instance SID format. The default vale is UUID format.

Note: History is not retained if you change this format.
|Object Filtering Details (optional)|
|DataCenter||Enter the search criteria if you want to include or exclude data centers for monitoring.|

|Filter out VM/Host without FQDN|
Select this option if you want the hosts and virtual machines that do not have fully-qualified domain names (FQDNs) to be excluded from monitoring.
If you do not select this option all the hosts and VMs are monitored.
For information about the criterion that can be entered in the Object Filtering Details section fields, see the Search criteria guidelines section on the Configuring filters for data centers, clusters, hosts, and virtual machines page.
