Number of database files closed (DBFilesClosed)

The database manager opens files for reading and writing into and out of the buffer pool. This parameter indicates the total number of database files closed. The actual number of files opened may not equal the number of files closed.

This parameter is helpful in determining the best value for the maxfilop configuration parameter, which is the maximum number of database files open by an application at any time. If the maximum is reached, one file will be closed before the new file is opened.
