Configuring the KM for monitoring a Server Automation system

To monitor and display the network devices monitored by an BMC Server Automation system, you must configure the BMC Server Automation system.

1. Right-click BMC Server Automation and select KM Commands > Configuration > Setup Automation Server Monitoring
   The Configure Application servers dialog box is displayed.
2. Select Add, and then Enter.
   The Add application server dialog box is displayed.

3. Enter the following details:

   Field	Description
   Host name/ IP	Name or IP address of the BMC Server Automation server
   Registry Port	Port Number
   Username	Username (network devices are displayed according to the permissions granted to the user name
   Password	Password (password must contain at least one character or numeral)
   Role	The role field is optional.

4. Click Authentication Server Details. The Authentication Server Details dialog box is displayed.

5. Enter the following details:

   Field	Description
   Host name/ IP	Name or IP address of the BMC Server Automation server
   Authentication Port	Port Number (leave empty, if authentication server is same as the registry server )

6. Click Accept.
7. Click Apply.
