Viewing a Device Adapter Capabilities report
The Device Adapter Capabilities report provides information about enabled device type and custom action adapters. You can use this report to determine what sorts of features are supported by the adapters and to help understand job behavior and error messages.
Tip
You can also view this report by using one of the following methods:
Click Network > Devices, click a device name, and then click the device type name to display all the information about the device type, as shown in the following figure:
- Click Admin > Device Adapters, and then click View on an enabled device type or custom action to display all the information, as well as the XML source code.
To generate a Device Adapter Capabilities report
- Open the Device Adapter Capabilities Report wizard page by navigating to Reports > Support Reports > Device Adapter Capabilities.
- Select the Device Adapters to display in the report:
- Device Types: Select which enabled device types to display:
- All: Selects all enabled device types.
- Baseline/Modified: Selects device types that were originally shipped with the product.
- New: Selects device types added by your site.
- For Vendor: Selects all device types for a selected vendor.
- One or More Selected: Selects specific device types.
- Custom Actions: Select which enabled custom actions to display:
- All: Selects all enabled custom actions.
- Baseline/Modified: Selects custom actions that were originally shipped with the product.
- New: Selects custom actions added by your site.
- For Menu Group: Selects custom actions for a selected menu grouping.
- Device Types: Select which enabled device types to display:
- Select the Device Type Information or Custom Action Information to include in the report.
- All: Shows all the information in the report.
Selected: Enables you to select one or more specific attributes of interest.
Note
Remediate appears as a standard action in the report when the device supports Deploy to Active on the running trail or a template, Deploy to Stored on the startup trail or a template, Deploy OS Image, or any custom action that can be executed through the browser.
- Select Next to select the report format.
- Select Tabular Format to view the report in a tabular format.
You can then set the order of the columns in the report by using Move Up and Move Down. - (Optional) Clear Tabular Format to view the report in a non-tabular format.
- Click Next.
