Configuring policies

BMC Network Automation is delivered with factory-installed policies that can be customized for your IT practices. Policies provide automated change monitoring, auditing, and remediation:

  • Auto Archiving Configurations: Detect when an external user makes a device configuration change and automatically performs a snapshot of the configuration for archiving and processing by other policies.
  • Change Notifications: Send SNMP, email, and trouble ticket notifications when change discrepancies and compliance violations are detected or cleared.
  • Event or Change Correlation: Send a notification when multiple high severity events are received and a configuration change has occurred in the past xx hours.

To create policies, select Policies > Policies.
