Working in a Telnet or SSH session

After you complete the procedure for opening the Telnet or SSH session, as described in Opening-a-Telnet-or-SSH-session, the Telnet/SSH Session page opens.

In the Telnet/SSH Session page, you can type commands, copy text by using Ctrl + C, and paste text, like in any other terminal. BMC Network Automation captures the session command/response interaction in the Job Details Transcript.

Warning

To ensure that the Telnet/SSH session functions correctly within the browser, the browser must allow pop-up windows. Some browsers block pop-ups by default.

Click End Session to terminate the session. BMC Network Automation takes a snapshot of the configuration for archiving (if changes were made) and displays a side-by-side comparison of the configuration before and after the session in the Job Summary.
