Specifying and listing active JES3 initiator groups
You must specify which initiator groups Job Optimizer is to intercept. You specify the initiator group names by using the BSL GROUP command. You can also use the BSL GROUP command to list the initiator groups that Job Optimizer is intercepting.
To specify or list initiator groups
mbos BSL GROUP action
mbos - The subsystem ID of the MainView Batch Optimizer Subsystem that is active on the MVS image.
action - One of the following values:
Value | Description |
---|---|
ADD igName | Specifies to Job Optimizer that it is to intercept the named initiator group igName specifies the name of the JES3 initiator group. |
REMOVE igName | Specifies to Job Optimizer that it is not to intercept the named initiator group igName specifies the name of the JES3 initiator group. |
LIST | Lists the initiator groups that Job Optimizer is intercepting |
The following rules apply to using the BSL GROUP command:
Use one BSL GROUP command for each initiator group name that you want to specify.
Use as many BSL GROUP commands as you need.
If you are using JES3 initiator groups and do not specify any initiator group names to intercept, Job Optimizer will not intercept any jobs for MainView Batch Optimizer Subsystem processing.
You can place BSL GROUP commands in the commands member of the control data set so that the JES3 initiator groups that Job Optimizer is to intercept are specified automatically during the initialization of the MainView Batch Optimizer Subsystem.
