Setting the default JTL action

The default action that is taken when READJTL is specified in the action definition of a job policy is SPLIT.

You can change this action.

To change the default action

Enter the following command:

mbos BSL READJTL action

mbos - The subsystem ID of the MainView Batch Optimizer Subsystem that is active on the MVS image.
action - One of the following values:

Value	Description
SPLIT	Job Optimizer splits the job when all constraints are relieved. Also, when all trust factors have been established, the steps can be directed to run on MVS images that have sufficient capacity to support the workload.
ANALYZE	Job Optimizer does not act on the job. It only monitors and records data in the History data set that describes how the job runs.
BYPASS	The job processes as it would without Job Optimizer; analysis and splitting are not performed.
STATUS	The current setting of this command is displayed.
DIRECT	Job Optimizer runs job steps on an alternate IBM z/OS LPAR while executing the steps in sequence.
