Defining job policies


This section describes how to view or modify job policy definitions online, including information about the panels and dialog actions that you use to accomplish these tasks.

You should be familiar with the following general information:

  • BatchPlexes
  • User Control Exit
  • History data
  • Subsystems used by Job Optimizer
  • Performance processing for batch jobs.

The MainView Batch Optimizer customization process creates a sample job policy definition in the control data set. The panels and pop-up panels that are shown in this section are based on that sample job policy.

Online Help is available for all panels, pop-up panels, and fields while you are registering job policy definitions.
