Starting the BMC Software Primary Subsystem - Job Optimizer

The BMC Software Primary Subsystem (BMCP) is required by the MainView Batch Optimizer Subsystem (MBOS).

If you start the MBOS before starting the BMCP, the MBOS detects that the BMCP is not available, and enters a command to start the BMCP.

To start the BMCP

Enter the following command:
START bmcpproc
(optional) Review the system log to ensure that the command is completed successfully.
The BMCP responds with messages to indicate that it is available. Status messages are also displayed.
