21.05 features


In the 21.05 release, BMC provides containers to deploy BMC Helix Operations Management in your on-premises environment. BMC Helix Operations Management consists of dozens of services in both the product and the underlying BMC Helix Portal platform. The supported use cases include monitoring, event management, AI operations, and log analytics.

Deployment in your on-premises environment by using containers

With the BMC Helix Operations Management 21.05 on-premises deployment release, you can easily deploy the product in your on-premises environment by using container images. BMC Helix Operations Management containers allow you to use the Helix services where a public cloud is not an option. For more information, see Orientation.

The BMC Helix Operations Management 21.05 release supports:

  • Deployment of BMC Helix Operations Management containers in your fresh environment.
  • Built-in monitoring capabilities based on Grafana and Prometheus.
  • New portal/location in the BMC private cloud to download the container images - containers.bmc.com.
  • New documentation space to access information related to the BMC Helix Operations Management container deployment.

You can use containers to deploy the full BMC Helix Operations Management architecture in a simple operation with full control and reduced complexity. BMC Helix Operations Management containers provide the following benefits:

EFK for your logging needs

Use Elasticsearch, Fluentd, and Kibana (EFK) for all your logging needs. Use the Kibana user interface to create index patterns, refine your log search, and download logs in a CSV file.
