BMC Helix Remedyforce supports integrations with other products from BMC and third-party vendors. BMC Helix Remedyforce also provides out-of-the-box Pentaho packages to enable you to import data from various external data sources by using the Pentaho Data Integration tool. Based on your requirements, you can choose to import data into BMC Remedyforce CMDB 2.0 by using other data import tools. In addition, you can import users from an LDAP server by using Pentaho packages or from a CSV file by using the Data Loader

The following table provides information about the integrations that you can configure based on your requirements.

You have your users in a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server. To avoid adding users in BMC Helix Remedyforce, import existing users that are stored in the Active Directory server.

Note: If you have client records stored in another application, you can use the Data Loader to perform a bulk import of client records from a CSV file. For more information, see Importing client records by using the Data Loader.

You have the following data in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager:

  • Computer System
  • Operating system
  • Processor
  • Software servers (LAN Endpoint and IP Endpoint)

You are using BMC Helix Remedyforce to manage your IT Helpdesk. To avoid adding configuration items again in BMC Helix Remedyforce, import existing data about CIs that is stored in System Center Configuration Manager.

You have BMC Client Management to manage and track assets in your organization. You want to track and manage BMC Client Management assets from BMC Helix Remedyforce including:

  • Link the BMC Client Management devices to an incident or service request
  • View asset summary of devices
  • Perform actions and deploy operational rules on devices
  • Start the BMC Client Management Console

After configuring the integration between BMC Helix Remedyforce and BMC Client Management, you can import CIs from BMC Client Management into BMC Helix Remedyforce by using the Pentaho Data Integration tool.

Note: Before version 12.0, BMC Client Management was known as BMC FootPrints Asset Core.

You are using Dell KACE to manage desktops, laptops, and servers. You want to enable staff members to work with the Dell KACE console in BMC Helix Remedyforce and enable them to view the asset summary of the Dell KACE devices.

After configuring the integration between BMC Helix Remedyforce and Dell KACE, you can can import CIs from Dell KACE into BMC Remedyforce CMDB by using the Pentaho Data Integration tool.


You have BMC TrueSight Operations Management (before version 10.0, BMC TrueSight Operations Management was known as BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management) to identify if there is a problem (or impending problem) with an application or service before a customer reports the issue.

BMC TrueSight Operations Management generates an event that you can send as an email message to BMC Helix Remedyforce. These incidents can be worked upon by the assigned staff members.
